If you lose to much blood while on your period, what could happen to your body?
If you are losing large quantities of blood during your cycle you can become anemic if it goes on for too long. You may need to get a DnC done to remove any clots you may have in your uterus. Please go to your dr and tell him/her what is going on. You will probably have blood drawn to check your hemoglobin and if it is below 7/9 you will probably be scheduled for a DnC. If you do not know what this is, it is where you are put to sleep for about half an hour to an hour and the dr will dialate your cervix, go into your uterus and scrape out any clots that are there. You will probably have a hospital stay of no more than two days and if you are quite anemic, you will most likely get blood and plasma through an iv to replensih what you lost. Afterward you may be placed on bc pills or bc injections to regulate your period. I hope that you get better and I trust that you will seek a professionals opinion about this...hugs to you and good luck.
well if you need to change your pad/tampon every hour then you need to see your doctor.
depends on how much your bleeding...i have a friend that bleeds pretty heavily on her periods and shes fine. Some woman just have heavier flows than others
