Irregular periods?

my periods wer always ppretty regular but for the last few months they have been late.they start about 1 week to 10days after they are due.im not sure what is causing this was wondering if you have any ideas? thanksIrregular periods?
its possible your body is just changing.. if you want to regulate your period you can try taking birth control pills.. that usually helps.
i too have the same prob
Have you changed your diet or taken new medications recently? these things can affect your period
sometimes your cycle just changes. it always happens to me when i go overseas.

Irregular periods..please help!?

i normally get my periods earlier than last months' date but this time i got them 12days earlier...i'm worried .is it normal?
and after two days it stops and it restart after a days,it happens to me every monthIrregular periods..please help!?
Irregular periods can happen due to many reasons. it usually happens when an individual is in early adolescence. The body is still adjusting to the hormonal activity. other reasons could be genetic make up. stress and hormonal imbalance.
your question does not mention your vital information about your age, location, body type etc. to conclude whether your condition is normal or abnormal. To be safe, just visit a gynec nearby and get your self checked. mail me for more details atiq_masw@yahoo.com
e mail my dad he is a doctor
was_popn@yahoo.com
go see your doctor right away, definitely not normal.
Could be a hormone thing. The Dr. can give you meds to get you straightened out. I had the same problems years ago and was put on birth control pills for it. I thought that strange, but they did the trick. Good luck.
it could be hormonal, stress of your body is just changing seek the doctor.. I know that birth control pill will help.
Birth control is given when a woman has irregular periods. See your gynocologist.

Irregular periods. Serious answers please?

My periods are very irregular. The time inbetween bleeding ranges from 1 week to almost 2 months . I've had my period for about 6 years now so shouldn't it be regulated by now? And when they do come they are quite painful and heavy, and last from 3 days to 2 weeks. What could be wrong with me?Irregular periods. Serious answers please?
Possibly absolutely nothing.
Most women are not as regular as clockwork on their own, and some are never even somewhat regular. This only becomes a problem, though, if and when you are trying to conceive.
However, you period should never be painful. For that reason, see your gp to discuss these problems, and ask if you should be referred to a GYN. Most GP's, however, can handle far more problems that people tend to want to believe.
I've had problems like that before and I went to the doctor and was put on some medication to help regulate everything and for the last 2 months, it's worked out well. I would suggest seeing a doctor and they should be able to get it regulated for you.
You should try talking to your doctor about birth control pills. They can regulate your cycle and reduce the amount of pain with periods. Also, check out endometriosis online. I suffered for years not knowing I had this and the symptoms are similar.

Irregular Period?

I went to the gyno and got my blood drawn but when she asked me if i was sexually active i was too embarrassed to tell her that i masturbate since i was 9. Does this have an affect? If so is it dangerous?Irregular Period?
masturbation and being sexually active (as in having intercourse) are two totally different things. Trust me, she doesnt care if you masturbate, nor does she need to know.
No, it's not dangerous you have nothing to fear about your health..as you get older your periods will get regular..your hormones will balance out.
nope it has no effect. she doesnt need to know & it wont effect the tests

Irregular Menstrual Bleeding?

My period has never been normal (it doesn't come at the same time every month). But when it does, it starts with a heavy flow and diminishes after 4-5 days. This month, I've had spotting on and off. It's very minimal and my period has never been like this. I have no pain or discomfort. I'm not experiencing cramping.
Does anyone know if this is normal? Has anyone experienced this?Irregular Menstrual Bleeding?
Like the other person said it could be ovulation. Nothing is wrong with irregular menstrual bleeding, most women are not on time. And spotting can be normal too if there is not a lot of cramping with it. If you have heavy periods and severe cramping get checked out for endometriosis.
You might just be ovulating. Sometimes you experiece light spotting during this time, and I've had it happen to me before. But it could be something else, so you might want to talk to your mom or your doctor.

Irregular Bleeding and bad cramping while on birth control??

I was put on birth control to control my bleeding. This afternoon, out of nowhere, in the middle of my month of pills, I started bleeding moderately (I'm not bleeding massively, bt it's bright read and clots) I am also cramping badly. So bad I'm doubled over. I also had sex earlier today. It wasn't anything crazy so I don't think anything was punctured or anything. What should I do. Is this something that can wait until my doctor's appt on the 21st?Irregular Bleeding and bad cramping while on birth control??
Birth control does have side effects of irregular bleeding and even cramping especially during the first three months while you are still adjusting to the pill or if you are using menstrual supression. I think it would be a wise idea to call your doctor's office tell them what's going on and get advise as to whether or not you can wait or if they want to see you right away.
Because you are just starting out on the pill it can take time to adjust to being on it. One of the symptoms that can occur from this is breakthrough bleeding (which is bleeding that can act a lot like a menstrual period).
I would go ahead and call your dr to let them know what is going and see if they want you to still wait til the 21st or come in sooner.

Iron suppliment in periods...??

i took my normal advised doasge of normal n got my periods the same nite thn the next day i took again the normal dosage n wat happend next is tht my periods stopped n i dnt see any bleeding...no symptoms of periods now...wat do i do now.m i in trouble or wat shud i do now...?/Iron suppliment in periods...??
The supplement should not effect your period. Sometimes you will just stop bleeding in the middle of your period, this is totally normal and healthy.
I agree with Tiff. A period is not generally a steady flow from day 1 until the end. Also, iron "thickens" the blood, so an increased amount of iron can cause your period to be less liquidy. I am very anemic, for example. I take iron just before and during my period to make it more regular. I can tell a big difference when I take it. My flow doesn't last as long and it isn't as thin. Don't worry, but if you must...call your doctor.

Intriguing question...?

One of the pharmacy techs I work with just got a hysterectomy and jokingly asked a question, but it intrigued me and I wondered what the answer was. When her and her husband have sex, if he ejaculates inside her, where does the sperm go? Normally it would go up into the uterus and into the fallopian tubes to try to fertilize an egg, right; but she doesn't have any of that anymore. So where does it go? Does it go floating up where her uterus used to be? Hahaha, it's a goofy question, but seriously? Does it leave her vagina and just float up into her body? Hahahaha. Anyone know?Intriguing question...?
The ejaculate would remain in her vaginal space until it finally leaks out. After all, there is no other place for it to go.
comes back out the vagina. where else could it go
It depends if her cervix was left intact or not.
They may take most of her female organs but not the vaginal space so basically when she stands up it all comes out
Well I have had a hysterectomy and I just get up and go to the toilet, or else I have to change the sheets
it either comes back out, like a cream pie, or like normal, it is considered an enemy by the female's body and absorbed and disposed of by the cells in the lining of the uterus
Returns to sender, addressee unknown.
(That was worth ten points, since it started as a joke anyway.)
I am not 100% sure but I do not think that hysterectomies involve removal of the uterus. Actually, if you go to the website called womenshealth.gov. It will it explain it well. Good question!
Note to that guy...hysterectomy= no uterus...no uterine lining...
Floats around inside her vagina until it becomes watery and later drips out.

Intercouse bleeding?

I have a new sexual partner, we have been having sex for about 2 months now. He is a lot bigger than my ex, who I was with for 10 years. Anyway, this weekend after sex, I noticed some vaginal bleeding while cleaning up after sex. It was enough to soil the sheets and it happened almost everytime we did it. Last night we had sex, no bleeding...? When I did bleed there was no pain. Should I go to the doc?Intercouse bleeding?
Post-coital bleeding can have a number of causes. In your situation, it could just be the fact that your new partner is larger so therefore your body will have a slight adjustment period as you accommodate him. The other reasons include onset of menses, (which yours obviously is not since the bleeding stopped), infection, cervical polyps, or some other more serious pathology. If it happens again, then you need to have it evaluated. Otherwise, if it was just one time and there are no other symptoms or problems, your likely okay. Take care.
Your partner might have to use a little KY and try to be a tiny bit more gentler.
I would make an appointment with my GYN just to be on the safe side.
Good luck to you..
yep you should.
ANY unexplained vaginal bleeding should be assessed by your doctor, no question.

  • Instead SoftCup,Have you tried it did it work?

I bought Instead SoftCup and I am wondering how many have succeeded wearing/using it?
What day on your cycle did you use it?
1st. day, 2nd.day etc. ?Instead SoftCup,Have you tried it did it work?
I love these things! I use them routinely. I can use them at any day of my cycle, but when my flow is heavier (usually at the beginning of my period), I find I have to change the Cup more often. After about my 3rd day, I can insert a Cup in the morning and leave it until bedtime! It is messy to remove, so I always try to remove it in the shower. I have not had any problems with the Cup at all. They are comfortable and reliable. No more trying to pee without getting the tampon string wet!
You know, I tried it. And at first... it was great! I couldn't feel a thing, it was great. A little messy taking it out (be near a toilet, a sink and LOTS of toilet paper!), but it worked pretty well. Then I started using Nuva Ring (which i think bothered my vaginal lining a little), so I haven't been able to use it since. But when it did work, it was so nice! I hope it works for you. Make sure you get it all the way back there. if you don't put it in right it will be very uncomfortable.
They didn't work for me at all. Well - they did work, but I didn't like them. They were too big for me. I could always feel it and it would bother me. But if it hadn't been for this problem, I probably would have continued to use them. I never had problems with it leaking or anything like that. It was a little bit unpleasant to get it out and empty it.

Instead of getting my period, I'm having pink spotting anyone has been through this?

A little background info for you.
    - switch brand of birth control last month
    - used condoms
    - he's "fixed"
    - been having spotting for 3 days now.
Any opinions would be much appreciatedInstead of getting my period, I'm having pink spotting anyone has been through this?
Call the gynecologist to see if the birth control pills may need to be adjusted...
If you use condoms and your partner is fixed, then there's not really much chance of pregnancy. I would chalk it up to the change in birth control, because different types of birth control pills can affect people differently. If this occurs for more than 3 months, I would contact your doctor. One month is okay, especially after changing pills.
Additionally, I don't know how old you are, but if you are approaching menopause, this could be due to that. But if you are younger, it is probably going to be fine after a short adjustment period.
This has happeen to me. It's due to your body adjusting to the new medication. But you may just want to make sure and consult your physician if it continue to long.

    Inside the vagina??

are there supposed to be bumps and some ridges and what not bc they r in mine and im a virgin so its not an STD! help! i use tampons but idk if that has anything to do wit it.Inside the vagina??
You have ridges up there and that's normal. It your birth canal. The "bumps" you feel are probably just your hymen or your just swollen up there from your period. It's normal to have swelling for a couple of days after your period. I wouldn't worry if your far from your last period. If your concerned you can always go see a gynocologist.
inside? or like, on the flaps? cause it's perfectly normal outside. but inside?? i don't think so. and you probably don't have STD's.
Yes, theyre supposed to be there. If you're really worried, or are 16 or 18 or older (cant remember the age) make an oppointment with a gyno. If not and you're still a virgin, you shouldnt have anything to worry about.
that is normal for woman to get bumps when they masterbate alot , but if you dont master bate alot then idk.
I am not sure about bumps but ridges are normal. Not sure how old you are but you should see a GYN yearly and discuss your sexual background.
Here's a pic of the ridges & bumps- this should calm you

Inside my vagina burns. What could be the reason?

Inside my vagina burns. What could be the reason?
Could be anything, a yeast infection, urinary tract infection, STD. Reduce your anxiety and go to the doctor for them to do a swab and find out.
You could have a bladder or urinary tract infection. You need to see a Dr. about this.
You need to see the doctor.. end of, they willl be able to identify the cause and prescribe a treatment..
Otherwise, reading the conjecture of others on this site will no doubt have you choosing between up to 25 different causes, which won't make you feel any better about it..
it could be for 3 possible reasons---
1 - hormonal balance is disordered.
    2 - urine infection.
    3 - other vaginal infections...
please contact with a doctor as soon as possible as its a sensitive isseu.

    Inside ***?

my boyfriend want 'it' inside my ***, he tried maybe four times but he cant get inside.. it hurts on my part, how can he get inside without the pain on me?Inside ***?
Use plenty of lube (like KY) and have him loosen you up a bit with his fingers before he tries to actually penetrate you. Be sure that you are relaxed or your muscles will tense up and not allow him entry. Have him take it very slowly and do not skip the fingering part, that is very important.
they sell ky for a reason.
you can be in charge so that he doesn't hurt you...also you sould try sitting in doggy position and he should come up from behind.
Sweetheart. Your ahole may be too small and could cause you to injure and infect your area. By a small dildo and try it on yourself. Tell him also that it would turn you on to dildo him there. Thats only fair.

    Ingrown hairs!?

All of my pubic hairs are ingrown. THey hurt sooooo bad and they sometimes bleed!...my boyfreinds wont even touch me...they are scared...what should i do?!?!? please help me through this insanity!!Ingrown hairs!?
dont be afraid to go to your doctor, or try to put Nair on it and they might get removed and then they might grow back correctly. it might not be that concerning if you have other ingrown hairs anywhere else.
firstly i notice you write ur boyfriends... they are scared. y do u have more than 1 bf, pick one then sort out ur hairs.go to doc
I am assuming you meant previous boyfriends, as in your exes and your current one? That's none of my business so anyways, have you tried using Nair or something like that? Shaving would definately make it worse, but maybe using something like Nair Sensitive (for sensitive skin) would help. I've never tried it so it might make it worse, just a suggestion.
Christ! How many boyfriends do you have? that might be a clue. Have you shaved it all off? if so, maybe the razor was bad and now you have an infection. I would definately see a doctor. I would be scared if I was you with multiple boyfriends. I dont think i would touch you either. Do they know about each other? Could they not be ingrown? Could they be Parasites that have been burrowed for along time and became infected? Hmm. Might wanna go to the doc.

    Infection after childbirth?

i had my daughter march 27th and the sunday after that i had to have a d&c for left over stuff and i had infection because of it. that has been over 3 weeks ago. and the last couple of days im have discharge again and foul smelling dischrage. and bad lower abdominal cramps. has anyone else ever had this,Infection after childbirth?
I would recommend that you get back in to see your doctor as soon as possible. There's obviously something going on that needs further care.
Of if your doctor can't see you, get yourself to the ER or an Urgent Care Center. An infection (which it sounds like you still have or have redeveloped) is nothing to fool with.
    Good luck.
I suggest you make a trip to your nearest hospital, They will see you straight away. 3 week′s is far to long . Go today

You want to go with the low bid when your health or even your life could be at stake? This isn't a good idea.
If you want to go cheap, try a county hospital. You should get a consult for IVF also. It is getting more and more affordable and would solve your problem without surgery

In your opinion do you prefer tampons or pads?

In your opinion do you prefer tampons or pads?
    Tampons, way cleaner
tampons, cause pads feel like diapers.. and u cant be ur normal self when u have something between ur legs,
haha, why are you wondering whaat people prefer? Strange but whatever. tampons 100%
in my opinion i would say tampons are better. but im a pad user! cause it hurts too much wit tampons!!
Tampons... OB brand to be exact. Clean, fast, and not smelly!
tampons for sure! pads r like diapers ugh.
Tampons, for sure. I like tampax pearl.
I prefer to use pads because the menstral cycle is supposed to FLOW, not be stopped up by a cork.

In your opinion are there any flaws, problems with Ortho Tri-Cyclen? What are they?

In your opinion are there any flaws, problems with Ortho Tri-Cyclen? What are they?
In general, it has many of the same disadvantages as any of the hormonal contraceptives. It can cause weight gain and increases the risk of blood clots. Depending on which study you read, there *may* be an increased risk of *some* cancers. As far as I'm concerned, the benefits outweigh the risks. By the way, all pills help with acne; it's just the one with an official medical study to back it up. This is info from my doctor.
Isn't that a zit medication? I think that's what I had as a teen and it was o.k. but not great..If I'm remembering the name right.
I've been on Ortho Tri Cyclen lo for almost a year, and I reallydo like it.. I have had headachesin the begining, but now, I am used to it.. It's really reliable, I don't have to be scared of getting pregnant.. I have had some nausea in the beginging, and iun the middle, andsometimeI get some fromtime to time.. but it's nothing un bearable..

  • In wich creams can i Find LIDOCAINE or XYLOCAINE for analgesic when Waxing??

i looked at savons but they only had creams with Menthol as an analgesic.does it work? its called ICYHOT or do u know any other brand containing Lidocaine Or Xylocaine? THANK YOU!!In wich creams can i Find LIDOCAINE or XYLOCAINE for analgesic when Waxing??
try using orajel for tooth aches, that has real pain reliever in it.
Xylocaine (the brand name of Lidocaine) and its generic equivalent are only available by prescription. The previous poster made a good suggestion about trying something like Orajel to see if that might be of help. The only other product that I'm aware of as far as over the counter that probably has Lidocaine in it is a product called Lanacaine which is designed to help with itchy skin.

In the past when I had sex the sperm went always out of my vagina but now it doesnt. Can someone explain that?

I don't dare to ask my doctor but in the past when I had sex the sperm flew out of my vagina but in the lasts months (after I have lost almost 30 pounds) that happens anymore. Does the weight loss have any relation? Can someone explain that?In the past when I had sex the sperm went always out of my vagina but now it doesnt. Can someone explain that?
You should feel comfortable asking your doctor these questions, if not, maybe you should consider a different doctor.
But to answer your question, is it the same partner? If not, perhaps they have different volumes of semen (very common). How about exercise? Did you use that to help lose the weight or just diet? I don't think the weight loss itself has anything to do with it, but perhaps muscles all around are now tighter.
How did you loose the weight? If it was medication or any sort of tablets it may have conflicted with the pill or whatever you are taking to not become pregnant. Id be taking a pregnancy test or really asking your doctor.
Consider the possibility that your partner is ejacutalting.

In modern times girls are not wearing underwears?

In modern times girls are not wearing underwears?
Funny thing is more women are going without underwear and yeast infections happen less frequently now then it did 10 years ago...I think maybe women are finally on to something!
Thats right, lots of people "go commando" nowadays
Sometimes I don't, sometimes I do. If I'm wearing a skirt, I do, unless I'm wearing nylons or something.
yeah. and thats really gross. thats how you get yeast infections. ew.
Just don't worry about asking these stupid questions, and go light you up a smoke to calm your nerves down. You don't have a fetus to harm, so go ahead.
i do, but i cant speak for others
oi! we're not ALL like britney you know!!!
Yes heaps of girls go commando but not for me i like my underwear.
just one less item a male has to deal with "when the time comes"
I haven't wore underwear for 5 years and I haven't had a yeast infection in 5 years. I have no problems with odor or inching. No undies = healthy vagina!

In childbirth, what are some different birthing positions?

In childbirth, what are some different birthing positions?
The most traditional positions are on one's back with legs brought up to the chest, or squatting.
But labor and delivery can be achieved in any position that is most conducive for the laboring mother and to get the baby out as quickly as possible with as little effort as possible.
In Japan they squat to give birth.
you can squat, or get on all fours. My sister delivered her baby on all fours and it was a piece of cake she says and he was 10.5lbs.
Did you see that Britney Spears statue?
Standing, sitting, lying, squatting, on all fours, in water.
you can lay on your back, like normal. but you can also get on all fours or some women prefer to use a bar that goes over the bed to support their weight and then they squat. this helps use gravity. however, what position you deliver in depends on the type of pain medication you use.
    Marcy
I would re-ask this in pregnancy. You'll get more responses. BTW they squat in a lot of countries, not just Japan.
On your back in bed (worst known pisition)
    Squatting being supported by people
    Squatting on a birthing chair
On all fours on the bed
Laying on your side on the bed
That's all I can think of for now... squatting was easiest for me.

In 28-days woman cycle what her exact safe days?

In 28-days woman cycle what her exact safe days?
Be careful if you have counting on finding the exact safe days.
Each woman is different and our cycles are different.
Usually the best time to get pregnant is around 2 weeks after you have started your period. Some woman have a 28 day cycle, some a 30 day, some 31. I would not use this counting method as a method of birth control( unless you are want a baby)
there are no exact safe days. I always thought you were safest when on your period but I got pregnant with that theory. Always use contraceptives if you' don't want to get pregnant.
You need to chart three things: your basal temperature, your cervical mucus, and your cervical position. Look up Fertility Awareness Method on the internet. There are certain times when your body cannot get pregnant because you are too far from ovulation, but you can't track this down on a calendar. Everyone's body is different, so you have to look for your own personal signs of ovulation. The "calendar method" is notoriously unreliable!
Like answerer #1 said, there are no exact safe days, and even contraceptives aren't 100%, my son is a "pill baby" , and I swear I never missed one pill...ever!!

    Implantation?

My girlfriend and I had unprotected anal sex about a month ago. Afterward, as a precaution, we used the morning after pill. It made her very sick. About a week after the act, she had a very small amount of reddish-brown bleeding. When she went to a doctor for an unrelated issue about a couple days later she asked about it. The doctor said it could be due to the large amounts of hormone she ingested, which was way more than her body weight needed. We've also heard that the bleeding could mean that implantation had occured. We want to know whether that meant that she is actually pregnant or not. Is a small amount of bleeding about a week after mean she is definetly pregnant? Any advice would be appreciated!Implantation?
First of all, unless all you had was unprotected anal sex you have nothing to worry about unless her rectum has a direct line to her cervix??? If you had vaginal sex then implantation happened up to a week before you had sex that time and the morning after pill wiped out that fertilized egg most likely.
probably the hormones. she should take a test if she misses her period, but i doubt she will--wrong hole & all...
If it was anal sex then there is a 100% chance you are not pregnant
u can't get pregnet from anal, but u can get an infection or worse without being unprotected
Dude, you can't get preggs from anal sex!

    Implanon problems?

Had the implanon fitted a year ago and have had nothin but bother with it! Stuff like putting on weight, very irregular and heavy periods, severe mood swings. The doctor said it will settle down but how long till it does? Has any one else had the same problems?Implanon problems?
Hi..I have had the Implanon in for nearly 3 years now.I have put on a little bit of weight and my period still comes every month but lasts a little longer then it used to-sometimes heavy, sometimes not.My moods have changed especially when I am on my period. It effects people in different ways and eventually your body will settle down into a pattern it gets used to. Hope it goes well for you. (",)
    HI,
I had the implanon in for 18 months, the first twelve month i had no probs at al, but then I started bleeding really heavily sometimes for periods of up to 4 weeks. I got it removedearly in March and I feel so much better now.
I guess that they are not for everyone, just need to find some contraception that suits you better. The injection and mini pill both suited me xx

    Implanon implant?

I got the implant at the start of december and since have developed acne (never had this as a teenage!), weight gain, fits of depression amongst other things. it's making me miserable but the doc said to wait 6months before giving up. I'm going to have it taken out this week as it's making me a crazy lady but just wanted to know of anyone else with same experiences or with implant??Implanon implant?
    hi
i have had mine for over a year now and its probably the bset thing i have done. like yourself i did have a few problems to begin (first 7 months) and i requested it to be removed. my doc was really nice and asked me to persevere with it. i did altho i was having irreg periods and was a bit crazy!! but now its great, i barely have periods at all now and i have two years before i have to worry about birth control! good luck! x
No but it did mess up my periods - I had mine put in in Nov and things are only just settling down, have you had a full check up from your doctor? It may be something else causing these problems with it just being a coincidence that they started happening around the same time as you had it put in?

    I'm worried, please answer?

I broke my femur about a week and a half ago and since I did that I have gradually been losing weight. The medicine I'm on (vicodin) and its making me lose my appetite. I originally was 105 and now I am at 101. Should I be worried?I'm worried, please answer?
You need to make sure you are getting adequate protein and calories to help heal your fracture. You should be eating at least 1600-1800 calories per day. Make sure you eat lots of protein (chicken, fish, eggs, etc) and I would suggest taking a multivitamin.
Yes, you should be concerned. Make sure to eat a healthy diet with all the requisite nutrition.
that is a side effect of vicodin .. i would tell your doctor but dont worry about it too much
Time to lose the meds anyway.
But you are ok. Just knowing you realize you are losing makes me feel ok about you. Good luck!
loss of appetite is common, but your weightloss so far isn't that bad. if it continues or your appetite doesn't reappear within the week then contact your doctor.
    happy healing and best wishes!
i'm studying to be a physician's assistant and i've been told that any time you lose more than 10% your normal body weight, you should go to the doctor.
Since the margin of weight you lost is still small, i'd call the doctor and ask for another antiinflammatory, if possible.
You need to be well nourished in order for your bones to heal faster.
NO JUST TRY TO EAT SMALL BITS ALL DAY, LIKE SNACKS OR SOMETHING AND THAT SHOULD HELP. I WENT THROUGH THE SAME THING AFTER THE HURRICANE WHEN I BROKE MY FOOT. I ONLY WAY 94 SO I UNDERSTAND

  • I'm wondering if I am getting my period!?

I have been having cramps for the past week and no signs! Im really worried that if i get my period at school! What do I do?? HELP!!!!!!!I'm wondering if I am getting my period!?
Nothing you can do. Be prepared. Have what you need with you, and if you're that nervous about it, purchase some panty-liners (very lightweight and comfortable to use) and wear those until you feel confident again.
If you get it at school just had stuff ready in your locker. Have extra pants n panties.
bring pads/tampons. if you think your starting just go to the bathroom, and see for yourself.
In the event you do begin menstruating (your period) in school, you want to be prepared. Have some extra pads/tampons on hand, or better yet, wear a pantiliner for a few days (good to wear if you think you are getting your period). That way, if you do get your period, you are not caught off guard.
    Hope this helps!
everybody has good answers. follow their advice. if you get your period while you are at school and don't have any pads/tampons you can always ask your friends or go to the school nurse.
Since you can't control your menstrual period you won't know when it comes. Carry a thick pad in your backpack so when it does come during school you can go to the restroom and change it. You'll know that you have started when your underwear feels rather wet and weird because it will be your first time. Maybe the cramps are stomach aches. Cramps occur in the lower part of your stomach. But don't be terrified just carry a thick pad that will hold you off for the first day of your period.

I'm well over a week late, but it continues to feel like my period is starting?

I have cramping and keep running to the bathroom thinking I started but nothing. Now I'm about 10 days late. But the period cramping started about 2 days before I was due so I thought for sure it was coming. But still, it hasn't come...what's going on?I'm well over a week late, but it continues to feel like my period is starting?
    that happens to me too.
sumtimes ur cycle just unexpectidly changes on u.
    r u new to it?
if so, then not to worry...
its normal to be irregular and at times late as well.
take a test you are pregnant. That is what I felt like with my first child.

    I'M VERY SEXUAL!! help...?

Ok... here it goes w.out bein vulgar or graphic!! Lol.. I'm 29 and I'm very sexual... my boyfriwnd is 45 and when I am w him, I can orgasm about 3 to 5 different times! I have no problem with him at all. But its like I nevr feel satisfied. After he makes me orgasm the 2nd time around, I usually lay down nex2him, get my vibrator and he usually plays w me 2. U know, he starts touchin me and stuff; and I orgasm like that2. I also lov watchin women in porn!! Am I normal.. Yes, I am attracted2women, but he is the one I wnt2b with. I don't wnt2b with a woman. HELP!I'M VERY SEXUAL!! help...?
Nothing wrong with that.. you have a very healthy libido.. bravo, time to celebrate. I usually will be with a guy and orgasm a few times, but as soon as I get home I get the toys out and go to town again, if he is at my home, I will jump in the shower while he is sleeping and go to town in the tub.. I am also in my upper 20's.. I believe women get the super sex drive after 27 yrs old.
thanks for that...you don't feel satisfied because something is missing in your relationship with him (i don't mean women). you need to talk to him, and if there is nothing wrong, then oh well...just live with it.
You should really talk to a doctor about this.
I can't diagnose over the internet, but you may be hypomanic or manic. This can be caused by a number of different things.
If you want to read more about it follow this link:

    so wait.
your 29 and you cant spell?
    Sounds normal to me.

I'm torn between the two... IUD or Depo shot... which is more effective?

I'm torn between the two... IUD or Depo shot... which is more effective?
Well, I've heard the shot has more side effects.and I got pregnant with and IUD, so I'm not crazy about either!! But all things considered, I think I'd go with the IUD, not as many side effects.
I had lots of problems w/ IUD it was like I could fell something there, and I swear my husband got poked by the strings when we were having sex. After I had it removed, I hemorraged really bad(soaking the thickest tampon I could find in like 10 minutes) It was a terrible experience for me. I've never taken the depo shot. I know that after 5yrs most of my friends put on a little weight. Good luck to you!

Im taking tamoxifen and im struggling to lose weight even though i go to gym regularly and eat well...help?

ive been told that a lower dose of tamoxifen may help with the weight loss...is this true or not thanksIm taking tamoxifen and im struggling to lose weight even though i go to gym regularly and eat well...help?
Unfortunately this is a side effect of Tamoxifen and happens to most women. All you can do is make sure you eat plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit, keep active, especially walking and swimming, but don't deprive your body, your body needs all the essential nutrients it can get. Cut down on dairy food, substitute milk for rice milk which is much healthier. Eat smaller meals but more often.
Tamoxifen is an anti-cancer drug and it will not make you fat.Cancer patients usually lose weight not gaining weight unless if they already recooperate.

    Im taking birth control?

... & havent had my period yet...what if im pregnant? what can it do if i keep taking the pill?Im taking birth control?
Depends on what birth control you are on. Some make girls barely have a period or skip it all together. With being on birth control, even just spotting is considered a period. But it is recommended that if you are having sex you should take periodic pregnancy tests to just verify that you are not. Taking birth control pills can harm the baby if you are pregnant. Stop immediately until you find out if you are.
How long have you been taking them and have you been taking them correctly?
It is not unherard of to skip a period when you have been on the pill for a long time. If you are worried take a test.
You should absolutely continue your pill as sheduled!!

I'M TAKING BIRTH CONTROL PILLS. I have a ??? about them.?

DO I START TAKING THE NEW PACK OF PILLS EVEN IF I DIDN'T HAVE MY PERIOD THE WEEK OF NOT TAKING THE PILLS? OR DO I WAIT UNTILL I HAVE MY PERIOD THEN START TAKING THEM AGAIN?
THANKS IN ADVANCE.I'M TAKING BIRTH CONTROL PILLS. I have a ??? about them.?
Typically pills are to be taken for 21 days (=one pack), then you stop for 7 days, a period should occur within these 7 days, if it doesnt, never mind, on the 8th day start a new pack.
Most importantly, read the patient leaflet of the pills that your doctor prescribed you. Everything you need to know is in there.
yes! i've had that same problem. you always always always just take the pills the way they are, even if you haven't had your period when you were supposed to on (the white pills) just take the active ones(usually pink) in a new pack and keep going with them. If this is within the first three months of your pills then this is completely normal, it will take about three months for your body to adjust to having your period at the right time. If this more than your third month of taking these pills and it is happening consistently then you should talk to your doctor, it probably means that you need a higher dosage.
just start the new pack of pills, your period is probably late becuase of the pills for example i take my pills and i dont get my period till the thursday of the white pills and then i start taking the regular pills on sunday
    hope that helps
Once you start taking the pills, there should never be a break between packs of pills. Start your next pack of pills after the 7 days of reminder pills are done, even if you have not had your period. If you miss your period after the next pack of pills, take a pregnancy test or see your doctor. This is all explained in the insert that came with your pills.

I'm supposed to be on my period but i'm expieriencing brown discharge and cramps?

i'm on yasmin birth control and i'm on the last week (the sugar pills) i'm on the 3rd one and i have brown discharge that's very light and cramps. is this my period coming or is it maybe implantation bleeding due to pregnancy? i'm freakin' out..
thanksI'm supposed to be on my period but i'm expieriencing brown discharge and cramps?
when u see the old brownish blood its usually from
old blood, but u should get a pregnancy test to confirm it, that way the birth control pills dont hurt the baby if u are pregnant
that is a pregnantcy sign . four days time get a pregnantcy test (clear blue) you can get it at pharmacy .let me know the answer .when you see the result.
Yup it sounds like you are pregnant...
Brown spotting is a very common sign of early pregnancy and is nothing to be alarmed of.
Congratulations! and hope you have a healthy baby!
Brown blood is just old blood. It sounds like your period is coming but to be on the safe side I would go ahead and check with your dr next week.

I'm still physically virg** .. I got engaged and had oral with my fiance?

noticed 5 days ago that I'm having some kind of itching in the labia minora and inside my vagi**, plus it burns just a bit when I pee sometimes, and there was also some kind of a sticky dry white thing coming out.
I didn't c the doctor yet but i read many articals and I guess its a yeast infection.
so my question is could oral giving for a girl by a guy cause this yeast infection ?? if both of us never had any other relation b4 and we both care about our presonal hygen !!??I'm still physically virg** .. I got engaged and had oral with my fiance?
Yes it can, even if both of you had never had sex before. There are many causes, from food, weather, clothing, chemicals, to hormones. So, the mouth of your bf could be the carrier of any of these causes, as much as being your own causes. Its not important, now on causes as much as on treatment. Hence, concentrate on treatment and this site can help you.
    http://www.msu.edu/user/eisthen/yeast/ca...
    All the best!/
anyone can get a yeast infection sweetie. some people get them after taking antibiotics(especially females) go to the doctor to be sure. if you are still a virgin giving oral will not give you a std there but could give you one in the mouth. go to the doctor sweetie and use condoms even during oral. better to be safe than sorry. good luck

I'm starting to be very irregular help??????

well im 17 yrs. old i have been having my period sence i was 10 years old and well brefore i had my last period i lasted 2 months and 3 weeks to get it ( i was not pregant) and well the case is that this month agian im already 3 weeks late does any 1 know what may be the causes of this, is this normal or can they be somehting really wrong with me help plzzzzz thaks for ur time ?I'm starting to be very irregular help??????
It's normal. Same thing happened to me. I was regular though most of high school but had severe cramps. It wasn't until my senior year through my freshman year of college that I was very irregular and would sometimes go two months without having my period. I finally went to a doctor and she prescribed birth control pills. It really helped to regulate my periods but didn't help with the cramps too much. Now I'm on a generic brand of sesonale so I only get my period every three months. It's great! So I would talk to a doctor about starting a birth control pill or wait and see if it regulates on its own.
This happened to my daughter when she was about 16...she did go to her first gyne. to make sure nothing was wrong.Nothing was, but she had gained weight, and was STRESSED...Hope that helps
I'M 20 AND I HADN'T HAD MY PERIOD NORMALLY FOR THE PAST 2 YRS I GET IT WHEN EVER THE LAST TIME I GOT MINE WAS IN JAN. YEAH THAT'S A LONG TIME I WENT TO MY DOC SHE SAID IT WAS NORMAL THAT IT COULD HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH MY HORMONES CHANGING OR STRESS I THINK ITS NORMAL FOR U TO NOT GET IT IN THE SAME TIME U NORMALLY DO AND U SHOULDN'T WORRY UNLESS WELL U HAVE HAD SEX AND MIGHT BE PREG THEN U SHOULD SEE A DOC STOP WORRYING BECAUSE STRESSES DOESN'T HELP AND IF U WANT TO BE SAFE SEE A DOC BETTER BE SAFE THEN SORRY

  • I'm starting birth control for the first time and I'm confused about something. When can I start?

I was put on ORTHO TRI-CYCLEN LO by my doctor. She told me to start the pill the first Sunday after my period begins. My period just started this morning and will be over by Friday or Saturday. So should I start the pill on Sunday still because it's the first sunday after or should I start it today?I'm starting birth control for the first time and I'm confused about something. When can I start?
I just started teh same pill about a week and a day ago. Yes, even if your period has ended, take the first pill the sunday after you start your period. Always start on a sunday because then, if you dont, you'll end up getting the days mixed up. Good luck babe.
    Listen to your doctor
Most pill starts on the first day of your period but if your doctor and the pill's website recommend first sunday after having the period, then you should follow the direction. Bleeding or not should not interfere with the effectiveness of the pill.
Start this Sunday. Really it's not going to matter much since the pill is still going to be effective. It's just a lot easier to start on a Sunday since the pills are labeled by days of the week.
Yea start it that sunday. I take the same thing and I had to do the same thing. That way your body can get use to the pills. Remember the pill dont really work till about a month later. So if you have sex use protection. And you might gain a little weight but dont worry if you exercise you will be ok.

I'm starting a new pill and..?

I went to the gyno yesterday and she gave me a hormonal medicine. What was happening was that I haven't gotten my period in about 4 months (I'm not pregnant, and I dunno why I haven't gotten it). So she gave me a hormone pill to take daily for 10 days. She said that within 2 weeks of finishing it, I SHOULD get it. But my question is (I forgot to ask her) When I do get it, will it be about the same (length-wise) as it was, or will it be maybe a week or two since I haven't had it for so long?

Thank you.I'm starting a new pill and..?
I don't even think your doctor can answer that with certainty. She probably would like to know what happens after, to see if there's any difference. Everybody acts differently to different medications and she probably is hoping this will solve the problem without any further complications. But you can call anyway to see what she has to say.
Now do you really want medical advise from the people just call her back and ask that would be the smartest thing to do
some questions should stay in the doctors office if you know what i mean
    good luck
most women stop getting either period (other than because they're pregnant) because they are underweight.
taking hormone replacement is VERY unsafe. you should talk to your family doctor about your eating habits and exercise schedule.
It makes me uncomfortable that your gyno gave you pills before looking at other options (as you have made it sound).
That's up to mother nature. It will happen and that's the most important thing.
The same thing happened to me when I was around 14. Everything was fine after I took the pills. Never had anymore problems. It was just one of those things that happens sometimes.

    I'm soooo tired! Please help...?

Ok, so I got my period today and I'm at work. Right now I feel as though i'm not going to make it another 3 hours. I get out of here at one and it's only 10:15pm as of right now. I'n 23 years old, and my body feels like it's 50. I'm so tired, and my blood pressure is 140/80...i'm a nurse, so I know this is slightly high, esp. for my age. Sorry everyone, i just thought i'd let it all out...I just wanna go home and take a bath and snuggle up in bed...I'm soooo tired! Please help...?
I'm 21 and I'm so tired all the time. I live on coffee and I don't think that's good. I took a thyroid test before and it turned out I had hyperthyroidism. I was told maybe it's due to giving birth, I was told to take another test after a while but I never did. I still feel tired so I'm thinking of checking it again. It's probably you're thyroid if you sleep well and still tired throughout the day.
Go home!! You sound tired. And if you are a nurse it is best to be rested.
You had time to go to ByeDr.coms while at work?
are you iron deficient or anemic?
go to sleep stupid if your so tired

    I'm sooo Confused!!?

Okay here'e the deal.I think I might be pregnant but not quite sure...maybe it can just be me being weird..my breast have been feeling very touchy lately...and they fell full...and i been having to go to the bathroom more than usual...and my tummy looks a little bigger than usual...I think i should wait until I miss my period...so I'm confused with whats going on with me...I'm sooo Confused!!?
Take an over-the-counter test! Don't be in suspense!
could be early pms with a touch of a UTI.
If its less then a month your tummy wouldn't even remotely be getting bigger.
You have to be way further along to begin to show.
You could just be bloated or PMSing.
Take a pregnancy test for sure.
Did you just start taking Birth Control? If so this is normal
If you are so worried about getting pregnant you should have avoided sexual intercourse.

Im so tired :-( is anyone else?

went out partying last night till 2 and had work at 8.30, how will i last all day??Im so tired :-( is anyone else?
you might want to take a hot shower when you got up, it helps you freshen your mind, also drink coffee and have a big breakfast to help your get energized.
    Drink red bull and coffee.
The girls at work and I always have that on Sunday mornings due to not getting to bed til 3 am and needing to be at work at 6 30 in the morning. We're mostly dead all day and make the young schoolkids do most of the work but still the redbull makes us look alive.
    Tired,yes. Able to sleep, no.
I was yesterday because I had a hang over. To be honest, I ate to keep myself awake!
It's Friday now though, so just keep busy so the day goes quickly and then it's the sweet sweet weekend.
I partied tonight and now I can't sleep and I have a job interview at 10:00 am. I am soooo stupid.
Yeah,I feel knackered this morning and I wasn't even out last night.
Can I visit you and give a massage?
everytime you start to doze off go to the break room and get something to eat or drink and wake yourself up!
    Plenty of sugared coffee.
burning the candles at both ends doesnt work.....go get a early night, it may take a few days to get over.

Im so emotional.. what causes it? why am i emotional? im a girl by the way?

today ive just been so emotional like crying for no reason and sometimes just cant control it why im not on my period havnt been im due at the end of the month~?Im so emotional.. what causes it? why am i emotional? im a girl by the way?
i have always been emotional, more so than the so called "average" person. but i have been to therapy and all sorts of stuff, and no one can find a damn thing wrong with me. i have found i am a better listener and better at giving advice than most people. i am what is known as an empath. i sort of feed off of others emotions. if people around me are happy, i am happy and i can keep them happy. if people around me are sad i seem to absorb all the greif and tears and get worked up over something that doesnt even personally affect me. likewise i can sort of pan my emotions off on others, if i am happy, i can easily make others happy, but if i am sad, no one knows how to react. so it isnt just some random thing, it can happen to anyone. yours could be chalked up to recent stress over something. has anything in your life been stressing you out more than usual? look into it. if neither of the things i talked about are what you have going on, then im not sure.
they are two type of people... emotional n thinking... emotional people will feel things... but thinking people will think first then decide how to feel about it. It's good to be balance of both. I too am emotional .. its drains my energy. I started seeing a counsellor so she can guide me to change the way i react to situation or incidents. I still learning. They have lots of books on it too. If feels good to be balance...

I'm so bored i don't know what to do?

with myself guys, ladies help ask a question or somethingI'm so bored i don't know what to do?
I know how you feel, Sundays are boring. I'm bored too. Maybe you can find a friend or even a family member and go get some ice cream or take a walk around a lake if you live near one. Maybe roller blading if you're into that kinda thing. Go shopping if you're not broke like me or try some different things with your hair and make up. Pop in a movie and make some pop corn. Think of things you need to get ready for tomorrow to start your week off.
    read books
watch a movie, workout,go outside, you have a million of ideas you could do!!
Oh, woe is me Star, you do have it bad today don't you?
big sigh..I hate moods like those, they always linger on and on. Hope it gets better soon.
just play with your self and pass some time
Enjoy your state of boredom and be glad it's not during the week at work with all those demands and commands and deadlines going on.
you could email peaple if you are board and maybe even find a lesbian friend, lol or if your not a les then you can find a guy and invite him over to play with him, you if you know what i mean

    Im skinny but love handles!?!?!?!??!!?

im 14...im really skinny.small stomach, arms, and legs....i have love handles tho..there not bad and there not that big but i just dont like them.i have a rlly high matabolism so i can eat pretty much everything should i exercise?? what kind of at home exersizes can i doIm skinny but love handles!?!?!?!??!!?
try dancing! I did it and it really helped my hip area. Just do a lot of moves with your hips and it should help. Good Luck :)
I'm 20 very thin but not a perfectly flat stomach. I eat nonstop and stay at the same weight. I recently started doing crunches to flatten my stomach but I still eat what I want bc of my high metabolism. honestly I'd just continue eating what you wanted but add some working out.
You're 14... wait until you are old enough to worry about someone using them for what they are named. Then decide whether you like them or not.
Otherwise, do some side stretches or maybe yoga, if you do it right, it should tone them.
Buy some Pilates videos to do at home. That will help to tone up your 'mid-section'.
try running or hip hop or jumping jacks
Hi, you definitely need to exercise. You should exercise regularly whether you are skinny or not because it help builds stamina and helps maintain good health.
For the love handles, you could try doing some windmills or side crunches. Check www.prevention.com for good exercises!
    I hope this helps.

Im serious on this one. What causes a yeast infection?

i know what they are and all just why do we get them and what causes them?Im serious on this one. What causes a yeast infection?
Candidiasis is an infection caused by a group of microscopic fungi or yeast. There are more than 20 species of Candida, the most common being Candida albicans. These fungi live on all surfaces of our bodies. Under certain conditions, they can become so numerous they cause infections, particularly in warm and moist areas. Examples of such infections are vaginal yeast infections, thrush, skin and diaper rash, and nailbed infections.
In women, yeast infections are the second most common reason for vaginal burning, itching, and discharge. Yeasts are found in the vagina of most women and can overgrow if the environment in the vagina changes. Antibiotic and steroid use is the most common reason for yeast overgrowth. But pregnancy, menstruation, sperm, diabetes, and birth control pills also can contribute to getting a yeast infection. Yeast infections are more common after menopause.
    uncleanliness,unsafe sex,allergies to soap,urinary infection

  • I'm scheduled to have my period on holiday, can I have it early to prevent being on during holiday?

I am going to Jamaica and I am scheduled to have my period that week, I was wanting to know if there is anyway I can make it come a week earlier? I am not on birth control pills.I'm scheduled to have my period on holiday, can I have it early to prevent being on during holiday?
Hiya, if your holiday is more than 2 months away then the pill should stop it, if not, then sorry but you cant stop it happening, Pete
You should be able to get a pill that can delay it you should make an appointment at your doctors
No there isn't. I think if we could choose when to have a period, most of us would choose, NEVER lol!

    I'm scared!!?

usually i have normal-colored discharge (clear or whitish) but occasionally my discharge looks black or brown or yellow. this is usually when i have a bowel movement. what's happening?I'm scared!!?
Sometimes when you have a bowel movement, those muscles really push on your uterus and it pushes out old blood from your period. So I wouldn't worry about it too much.
just extra stuff coming and nothing to worry about =every woman gets the different colours sometimes
go and have a bowel test..
    i agree with caffsans
If it also has fould smell, it may be a sign of infection. Go see your gyno.

Im producing milk and im not even pregnant?!!?

i can assure that i am not pregnant because im still a virgin..why is this happening??Im producing milk and im not even pregnant?!!?
Are you around a baby often? A woman's hormones will change so that she will produce milk if she is around infants or babies of nursing age. It can happen to any woman who has not yet reached menopause and is around such a child. You might want to see your doctor; he or she should be able to remedy the problem (give you birth control pills, etc.) to stop the lactation.
generally, women produce milk when the breast is stimulated especially during pregnancy and lactation. go to youre doctor about it. maybe youre breast is overstimulated by something else.. do you have a boyfriend or a husband?
you should see a doctor as it can be a problem with the pituitary gland or a hormone imbalance
have you been around lactating moms or has your hubby been you know what=see the Dr about it okay
    See your doctor.
Then you must be expose to a crying baby every day.
It's natural for a woman to produce milk when there's a baby needing food nearby.
please, go to a doctor...there are a few reasons this could be happening...i don't want to freak you out but one of them is quite serious and the sooner you go to a doctor the better...please don't blow this off, even if you feel fine otherwise...but don't stress out...that won't help...good luck
My ex. When she had our kids, she was lactating like a cow. I loved to help drain her dry at bedtime and she was full. She had orgasm after orgasm when I sucked her breasts. I had pretty powerful orgasms too. I loved to drink her milk and keep her satisfied. Do you have the same desire?
    that is cool though

I'm pregnant and i want know what other positions can i perform?

for girls only!I'm pregnant and i want know what other positions can i perform?
Anything that is comfortable for you. As you grow larger you may find that either side by side or from behind is the most comfortable...
    on your hands and knees
what to you mean? you can do it in any position as long as its comfortable for you and not painful against your cervix! have fun!
Oops I was going to try and answer this as a father of 4 children 2 boys and 2 girls. Doggie is one of the best and requires little effort on your part. There is always oral that works both ways. But as I was not supposed to respond I will not say a thing.
I dont know from experiance because ive never been pregnant but i would advise you to do what you feel is comfortable and dont get too tired, also be careful of infections as whilst you are pregnant you are more at risk of getting them and some can be serious causing premature labour. If you're worried that you are hurting your baby have a word with your midwife and she will advise you on the best positions and give you reasurrance, congratulations on being pregnant, good look!
doggy style or lay on your side the one that i use to like alot was getting on top just grab your stomach and go for it

    Im on the depo shot?

like i said im on the depo but while on it I do not have my menstrual i have an appointment with my doctor on wednesday but has this happened to any one and what did the doctor tell you? what should i doIm on the depo shot?
That's actually a normal side effect. When you're talking to your doctor, I would suggest discussing switching hormonal birth control methods. If you're looking for something easy, try NuvaRing.
I've just heard so many horror stories about women on the shot and not having periods for years or having a period for months at a time. It's just not a good thing to take.
    I dont understand the question

I'm on my period three weeks in a row! Whats going on??

Alright, I have been dating this guy since Jan. and since I've met him and we have been sexually active, my period last a LOT longer. Usually two to three weeks. I am on Ortho and have never had this problem before. What could be going on?I'm on my period three weeks in a row! Whats going on??
You should see a doctor immediately. Sexual activity should not affect your period to the extent that you are bleeding excessively.
You likely have something else going on that is causing your period to last for weeks.
    Please see a doctor immediately.
i think this bleeding has sth to do with sex. when i reach orgasm, i usually have my periods sooner.
    i think it's normal
yes, i would suggest seeing a doctor right away. after the first time you have sex, there may be a little bit of bleeding, but it shouldn't be like that or affect your period in any way. please see a doctor because there is something that could be wrong that needs attention.

I'm on antibiotics, so what can I do to prevent yeast infections?

I'm eating 2 yogurts a day because I take 2 pills a day. What else can I do to prevent yeast infections? Does eating sugary foods make you more prone to getting yeast infections?I'm on antibiotics, so what can I do to prevent yeast infections?
drink a lot of cranberry juice, and keep up with the yogurt, most MD's are aware of the potential of a yeast infection are will usually call in a prescription without seeing them if you get one...good luck :)
take lactobacillus acidophilus pills (found at any vitamin shop). they 100% work and save you alot of grief... i get a yeast infection if i even look at antibiotic so i've become the master at research in preventing them before they start..
Lots of cranberry juice but not just any kind. Forget the Ocean Spray brand and the blends. Go to the natural foods section of your grocery store and a spend a little more on the 100% cranberry juice. ( Knudson Brand is very good if available )The taste is not so good but it will do more good then any of those other watered down pre sweetened juices will ever acomplish. Yes, i am aguy but after living with sisters and girlfriends with the same problem you get to know a thing or two.
Also don't forget the underwear of the light cotton variety. Gotta let it breath or it could counter act.. Toss the thongs baby , this ain't Woodstock .
go to your local health food store, and pick up some Probiotics. Those have the same type of things as yougurt but at very high concentrations. If you are near a Whole foods, go there, the employees are really helpful and knowledgeable.
Really tight jeans can also sometimes cause yeast infections.

I'm not trying to be gross, but I do need some help.?

There is a red lump on my vagina near the opening (I am not trying to be gross) that hurts a little occasionally but not often. It's been there for quite a while (months) but I'm not sure how long. Any ideas on what it could be?I'm not trying to be gross, but I do need some help.?
It's probably a cyst that has developed. You may want to see your doctor. They could help you with that.
not sure but you should get to a dr ..
    good luck

Im not trying 2 b perverted but im just curious, what happens 2 a girl when they become sexually aroused?

you know how a guy gets an erection? what physical things happen 2 a girl (again im just curious i dont wanna sound like a pervert)Im not trying 2 b perverted but im just curious, what happens 2 a girl when they become sexually aroused?
we become more sensitive in the breast area and start to get moist between the legs. also we have something very similar to an erection: our clitoris becomes stiffed and enlarged as well and VERY sensitive to any stimulation.
somewhere i also read that our eyes become dialated, our lips become flushed, as does the rest of our face but just slightly. our breathing patters change.
nipples might get hard, and she gets wet between the legs
nipples get hard and sensitive, overall the body becomes more sensitive to touch, downstairs the woman becomes more wet to allow the penis easier entry during intercourse, and as they move closer to orgasm and sexual arousal, the clitoris swells up a little.
Lots of things happen to a girl. She has to be comfortable with you and ready. Girls are turned on more by words, sounds, gestures, anticipation, and a man who will listetn to what they want and be able to read the subtle gestures she is sending. Basically they begin to be aroused mentally and physically together. their temperature rises. as does the heart rate. Their skin flushes. They become aroused, and their nips get hard, and they begin to become ready for some really serious forplay and then sex. Forplay is the most important part. you should have her having orgasms before you have even had sex. This takes time and good comunnication. Good luck

Im not pregnet but whats wrong with me?

my breast hurt,im having lower abdomen pain off and on, my periods are iregular since Jan.ive taken several preg. test all -Im not pregnet but whats wrong with me?
Don't you think it's time to see your doctor?
See your doctor. You might just have really nasty, irregular periods like, unfortunately, most woman experience. Birth control could help.
It could be a number of things. Some serious or life threatening and some not so serious. The only way to know for sure what is wrong is to go to your health care provider. Good luck.
same thing happens to me and still does go to a gyno i got on birth control pills and it seem to help some.
I'm not sure if you are on birth control or not but if you arent I would recommend going on it and you wont have the hurtting breasts and lower abdomen pain. It will also make you more regular. If you are on birthcontrol you however may also skip periods becuase birthcontrol makes your body think it is pregnant when you are not and then the lining inside of you does not build up as think and your periods will be lighter. I had this same problem and my doctor explained it to me last week. Also even though the preg. test says you are negative does not necessarily mean you are not pregnant. It could take several months for the horomone to show up in your urine. The only sure way to find out if you are pregnant or not is to get blood work done. Hope this helps

  • Im not pregnant?

i notice if i press my nipple discharge comes out more it's like milk! before it was just a little bit know if i press it's alot more it 's sprinks few drops it's it normal or it's my hormonesIm not pregnant?
Any form of discharge from the breast is not normal! Unless you're pregnant, then that's different as it's milk. If not, you must see a doctor about this! Also, it's also important to perform a breast self examination once a month (preferably a week or two after your menstration) and any discharge apparent when performing the exam must be mentioned to the doctor as well. A good site to learn more about performing a BSE :(http://www.breastcancer.org/dia_detec_ex...
Lots of women have this. I had it until I went through menopause
Well, if you were pregnant, you wouldn't get "milk" till AFTER the baby is born. Your breasts do not fill up with milk while you are pregnant.
have yourself check-up by a doctor.

check the link below to know more about breast discharge.
i was told if you arent nursing a baby no fluid is normal comming out of your breasts so see a gynocologist fast.

I'm moving to a different time zone (8 hr diff.) how will it effect my BCP's by changing the time i take them?

I'm moving to Italy soon with my husband, since there is such a big difference in the time zone I will have to change the time I take my usualy birth control pill. How will it effect the pill? Will I need to use additonal protection until my body gets used to the new time?I'm moving to a different time zone (8 hr diff.) how will it effect my BCP's by changing the time i take them?
Taking an extra pill won't hurt you- just double up on the day of the switch
Not at the same time, but at the old and new time, then 24 hours later at the new time.
You'll be a tad nauseated, but it's well worth it because you don't have to use a backup method like rubbers. You'll be one low on the pack, so either request an extra pill pack from your pharmacy, or expect that you'll get your period a day early this month =)
I've had to do this before and my doctor recommended this method---oh, I have an IUD now, much less fuss!! =D
You have several choices for changing the time you take your pill. You could gradually move the time you take your pill by taking it an hour later, and then a few days later move it another hour, etc. until you are taking it at the new time.
You could wait until you start a new pack after your reminder week, and just start the new pack at the new time.
Or you could just start taking the pill at the new time in the middle of the pack.
Whatever way you choose to use, I would suggest using your back up method of birth control for the first cycle, just to be sure your body has adjusted to the new schedule.

I'm looking for a doctor to perform a annual check for my mom--Is there a specialist I need seek?

Do I look up a specialist (title?) for the annual exam or do I go to a family doctor? Please help. Thank you for your time.I'm looking for a doctor to perform a annual check for my mom--Is there a specialist I need seek?
If your looking for a routine physical check-up then all you need is a family doctor. Specialist are reserved for special conditions or ailments (i.e dermatology for skin).
A gynocologist or a family doctor/general practitioner can pretty much do any kind of annual exam on a female.

Im irregular and i skipped 1 month, might be skipping this month of my period?

Is it okay? Since its april, 22nd i don't think my period is going to come. I'm irregular but my last period wasn't my first period. I've had my 3rd period already. I haven't had cramps either, but i had stomach aches, i'm not sure what cramps feel like, can someone explain? So if i skip april i'd be skipping 2 months of my period.Im irregular and i skipped 1 month, might be skipping this month of my period?
For most people who just get their periods, it tends to be rather irregular for a few years. When you get older, like in your late teens, your menstruation will fall into a more regular pattern. Until then, do not always expect your period to come at exactly a certain date, because you're still in the first few years of womanhood.
    Go see your gynecologist.
    are you having a baby
It's perfectly normal to skip at the beginning. You can skip up to 6 months! A cramp is a pain below your stomach, about at the height of your hips. They can be VERY painful, but usually you only start to get those after a while. They kind of start to get worse as time goes by. Depends on the person though. But if you start to get cramps, all you have to do is buy some pills that are meant specifically for that and take them when needed and you'll be just fine. :)
This is very normal if you have only just started to get your period. Like said above it can take a few years for you to become regular.
If you don't have cramps count yourself lucky. Some people don't get them at first and some people don't get them at all.
ask your mom she will explain everything to you
that's normal. i'm fifteen, got my period when i was thirteen, and i think i've gotten it only five times. relax. ^.^
do you get running cramps? like in your side or something? just take that pain and move it DOWN. ta-da

I'm in tons pain.. What will help my cramps?

I'm 19. I started my monthly, and I get bad cramps, and it hurts alot on the lower part.. I can't sleep alot because of It..
I have to go to a doctor soon..
I just dont have a way there right now, I don't drive..
    Btw what is a douche?
It's in the womens department by all the pads..I'm wondering..
ThxI'm in tons pain.. What will help my cramps?
    1. Eat some yogurt.
    2. Take some advil or ibprofin, or midol.
    3. Exercise, that really works, even though you might not feel like exercising. My mild cramps completely go away after a good workout.
    4. Take a nice bath.
    5. If you go on the pill, it's supposed to make your cramps not as bad and give you a lighter period, and you'll know exactly when your cycle starts every month.
    Pamprin!!
A douche isnt really good for you. But it helps freshen your vagina.
A old hillbilly way is to take a swig(a shot) of alcohol. Just a swig. It will help to relax you pelvic muscles.
Your under 21 so I would try midol or a hot bath.
Have you ever tried using magnets? They are somewhat new to North America but have been used for years in Japan. I get mine from a company called Nikken. When I have cramps, I use one called the back flex. It is about 7 inches by 5 inches and really works!
As soon as you can get someone to take you to your gyn you should probably go. Tell the doc & maybe they can rule out endometriosis.

    I'm having wierd spasms...?

I have been having these spasms where I can't get enough air in my lungs lately. Not like, I can't fill my lungs with air. I can do that. But it seems that I just can't full them up enough. What is this? Could anything be wrong?I'm having wierd spasms...?
You might have asthma. If I were you, I would talk to your doctor right away. Even if it's not asthma, breathing problems should be taken very seriously!
You should see a doctor. You might need an inhaler. Could be getting Asthma to...
You should see a doctor, it sounds like athsma.

I'm having VERYYY bad cramps. what can i do to help them stop?

i have my peroid. im only 15 too. if i had school i would not be going thats how bad that they were.I'm having VERYYY bad cramps. what can i do to help them stop?
You poor thing, I know how that is. I always take Midol or Premsym during my crampy days. I also put a heating pad on my abdomen or back, wherever it hurts worse. Another thing that helps are nice long bubble baths. If you feel like the pain is extreme, you should see your doctor. Sometimes extreme pain can be a sign of something more serious.
    Take Ibuprofin. Works for me.
aww im sorry :( i kno how u feel ... my first period they were so bad , i was crying on the bathroom floor :( but just dont go to school if they are bad , becuz one time i went to skool and ended up throwing up and crying they were so bad .. anyways ive heard that for temporary relief there is a pressure point on the arch of ur foot , so just press it and they go away untill u let go lol , and take pain killers , and heating pads do help .. so take a pain killer , heat up a heating pad , and snuggle up with sum pillows and lie down , and watch a movie or sumthing .. just anything to take ur mind off the pain , oh and chocolate really helps !! dont worry they will go away soon .. i kno how u feel

    I'm having trouble losing weight?

Ok well after I started my period I guessed I would gain weight and have body changes, so I decided to just let them come and not try to diet or anything just let things flow naturally and not try to push things or force things to be how they used to be. It was kind of heartbreaking lol but I gained about 18 pounds. Now I just feel like I have too much excess fat and I've been working out and eating healthier but I I'm not losing weight I'm actually gaining weight. I want to be thin and healthy but it's so hard because I'm always hungry i'll eat and then 2 hours later be hungry again. It's not because I'm growing because i've ALWAYS eaten a lot but kept off the weight with a good metabolism. Now my metabolism is slower. I'm actually very lazy. Please some advice? AH help!I'm having trouble losing weight?
stop the junk food.. if ur sitting on ur computer or watching tv for hours, u'll most likely eat more and feel hungrier
walk ur dog if u have one and keep up the exercising, i think you should just watch the calorie intake and not eat before you sleep at night

im not trying to be gross but its clear discharge with some blood in it and ever since this has started ive had pieces of tissue (pink/grey/red) being discharged as well and i know its not my period because i already had that about 2 weeks ago and these pieces of whatever it is are like nothing that has happened to me before.any thoughts?Im having this wierd discharge and im not sure why?
Hey honey, it sounds like symptoms of BV. It's a bacterial vaginal infection they you can basically get from anything. Doesn't always have to be sexually related either. It could come from a variety of things. From diet to change in laundry detergent. Tampons will do it too. It is an infection that you have to get a doctor's prescription though. I would recommend any time you have any kind of difference or discomfort dealing with your genitals you should a doctor right away. Good luck with your problem.
Emmm...could be anything.Personally, I wouldn't let that go so easily and make an appointment as quickly as I could...
hello you need to see a doctor fast...thats definitely not normal maybe you have a urine infection or something else!
Is there any chance that you are pregnant and having a miscarriage? Are you on birth control pills or any other method that can cause breakthrough bleeding? You need to get it checked out as soon as possible!

I'm having my menstruation today, today is my 1st day. Is there anyway to stop it??

I have a hiking trip today. My period is supposed to be on the 14th... it's a week early ?? Anyone out there can help me ??I'm having my menstruation today, today is my 1st day. Is there anyway to stop it??
Nope, just breing enough protection with you and a lot of aspirin
well unfortenetly theres nothing you can do about it, its what always happened to me because mine was never regular, you just have to suffer it out like every other female
No you can't stop it. Just use a tampon and a pad and take some extras.
Sorry hun, I really don't think theres anything you can do. I know it sucks, ive run into that problem so many times before. The only way to control your periods (i think) is to take birth control, then u can kind of manage when you start and such, and ur periods are usually lighter and 2-3 days long. Otherwise I suggest to use a tampon for less worries. Good luck and have fun! Sorry I cant be of more help.
oh, and usually, if u go swimming on this trip, cold water stops the flow! Its a nifty thing.
You can't stop a speeding train! There is no way to stop a period with at home remedies. No doctor would take a chance on messing up a normal cycle either.

I'm having a breast reduction on May 30. And i would like to know what size should i go down?

I'm 16, 5'4 and 162 pounds. and also i would like to know how much pain will i be in and how long. (only people that have had the surgery.) also what would to compare the pain too.I'm having a breast reduction on May 30. And i would like to know what size should i go down?
You haven't told us what size you are.
I would try to go down to a C cup.
You should talk to your PS about this, he could help assist you.
I had absolutely NO pain after surgery, only discomfort.
    Congrats and good luck!

You should have already gone through this with your cosmetic surgeon. These aren't questions to ask us. You want to look normal after all is said and done. There is evidently already a problem or you would not be getting the surgery at your age. The surgeon needs to guide you and your parents through the decision making process way ahead of time and not on the day of surgery. Tell your parents or guardian this so that they can make an appointment for you (and them) to make the decisions and get information. Best of luck to you. My advise is to error on the small side.
Well, in my country we (women) haven't get to that kind of situation but to you I think that it is nice but for the best you should leave it that way and it will cost you no pain.
Just pliz to stick to who you really are!

Im gonna start the nuva ring on saturday for the first time i need to know do i take it out on 21st day or?

i need to know if insert the nuva ring i know its 3 weeks on one week free do i leave it in exactly 21 days and take it out on the 22nd and count that day as the first ring break or do i take it out on the 21st day and count that day as my first day of ring break can someone please answer i need to know im new on thisIm gonna start the nuva ring on saturday for the first time i need to know do i take it out on 21st day or?
Don't know. I don't even know how that thing is supposed to work anyways
my gf uses the ring for 3 weeks then takes it out and puts a new one right in so she wont get her period. considering the low rate of absorption of the hormone, I don't think you really need to worry about it to much
I know the timeing because I take out the old one and put in the new one for her

Im going to start birth control?

And its 21 days on and 7 days off. will i have my period for all those seven days?Im going to start birth control?
Not usually. Most women still have it for only 3 to 5 days. If you are concerned you can try the shorter period birth control.
go to www.shortperiod.com It's called Loestrin (SP). That makes it on average less than 3 days
    you shouldnt.. i didnt..
no. you take a sugar pill for those 7 days. when on bc your periods are usally shorter, round 3-4 days.
I think its probably different for every woman, but I don't. Alot of people say that their periods are lighter and shorter on birth control. Mine usually lasts about 4 days
No. It takes a couple days to start once you stop taking the pills for that week. The first few months will vary though, as your body gets used to it.
    Nope I dont
    Yeah you still can.
If you're talking about the pill then all it does is thicken the mucus plug in your cervix, stop the egg from ripening (unless you're on progestogen only pills which sometimes allow it to ripen), and stops the uterus lining from thickening up.
I think it actually depends on what your regular cycle is like. I was on it for years and I did have mine for the seven days it just wasn't as heavy as what it was like when I wasn't on the pill.

I'm going to bed . . . my pms is so strong this month...I can't even concentrate on my typing well . . .

    It's said " Don't drink and drive " . . . I'm thinking that a person should'nt be on ByeDr.com while experienceing the effects of p.m.s.
I keep making typos...can't concentrate as well...trouble sleeping . . . Going to bed to read some light minded magazine...like People.
What do you do when you are having trouble concentrating due to pms ?
.I'm going to bed . . . my pms is so strong this month...I can't even concentrate on my typing well . . .
Try drinking a lot of water - as in 5 cups in one sitting. It flushed out excess hormones and 'resets' you. It usually works for me when I'm in a bad mood.
i simply stay on my bed
take a hot water bath and drink a cup of hot chocolate...it wokrs for me
    Hi
First Rule, stay away from caffiene, take a NICE warm BATH, Take a painkiller (nurofen, myprodolworks for me). Go to bed, make yourself warm and comfortable and lie still in one position until the pain is gone...
i just lie in bed, and take some tylenol lol

I'm going to a female doctor to get check..?

Im going to a female doctor to check my penis bec there are abnormal bumps..is there any chance shees gonna jack me off??..bec the only way to get a good view of the bumps is by my it getting erectedI'm going to a female doctor to get check..?
She might simply ask for you to describe the bumps. However, if that is when the bumps appear, she may ask you to get yourself hard. She may want to see them to determine exactly what they are. I doubt she'll jack you off because there are laws against that!

Im goibg on birth control and im wondering..?

WHat are some of the side effects.. I got confussed. My doctor said something like i could get acne for a week or so and then it will clear up? And i could get spoting and random bleeding for a day?
Help share ur experinces please.Im goibg on birth control and im wondering..?
It depends what type of birth control you will be using (pill, patch, shot). I am on the pill and have only experienced some break through bleeding. Other common side effects are: Nausea, Head aches, and on occasion bloating.
I think most birth control pills CLEAR up your skin, not cause more acne.
I'm not sure about the spotting.I never experienced that.
I did experience weight gain.not drastically, but I did gain weight while on the pill and wasn't able to take it off until after I stopped taking it. I do think weight gain is a common side-effect. You shouldn't be scared there. I don't think there are many serious side-effects caused from the pill. If your dr says it's okay for you to take it..then you should be fine.
it depends on what kind of bc your taking, i take yasmin and i never had any of those prloblems, however several people that i know have gotten the depo shot and have had a lot of spotting.
Most birth control pills clear up acne and I've never had spotting or bleeding unless I've skipped a few pills so you should be fine
i never heard of those. but it depends on what you go on. the patch made me really sick, nuseated and a realy ***** during my period. i couldnt eat i felt so sick. nausea is common with most bc during the first few months. the ring for me had like nothing even short periods ect

I'm getting freaked! I only have periods once a year and someone said I could have...?

have my period for 6days, but not again for a year? this has happen for 2 years now..I saw a doc and I seem to be fine.
Someone said I might be dealing with infertility issues that cannot be reversed, another person said some women just naturally doesnt have a monthly cycle and not to freak.
Ideas?I'm getting freaked! I only have periods once a year and someone said I could have...?
I was always like that too. 6 months, 8 months, 10 months. I never knew when. My Dr said there was nothing wrong with me. It did take me 2 yrs to get pregnant the first time, but with the 2nd one it took 2 months. Not to worry, some women just aren't regular. Maybe you could go on the pill, to see if that can help straigten it out
Be careful you don't get pregnant cuz when your like that it can happen any time.
You should speak to another doctor because that is not normal. There are many things that it could be and everything should be discussed with your doctor.
Ask your doctor to send you to an endocrinologist to see if you have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). I had the same problem as you when I was 14 and throughout my life, I was barely diagnosed with PCOS last year and I'm mid-30. An Irregular Cycle is one symptom, hair loss, weight gain, high insulin are others. If you are overweight I'd check it right away. I went to the doctor repeatedly over the years for various symptoms and no one ever bother to run blood tests for this disorder. Now that I know what's wrong with me, I've been able to control it with medication and diet.
MAN UR LUCKY i hate havin it evry month

Masturbation is wrong. Haven't you read the bible?
go ahead. only do that once or twice a week not always. finally you will get yourself bored.

Im curious, are female ejaculations real?

ive read on wikipedia that they are not scientifically proven yet.
If someone has had one, does it burst out like they show on pornos?Im curious, are female ejaculations real?
yes it is real and yes it does do that..
It is real but the women who have it, is in an extremely low percentile. I heard more about it when I took a Human Sexual class in college. It is very intresting but rare.
    Yep, it's real.
When the g-spot is stimulated correctly, clear liquid will squirt out of the urethra during an orgasm.

Im cramping but i have not had no bleeding what should i do?

im in a wheelchair im not sexually active i'm having cramps and back aches but no bleeding i started a new med called questran light powder what should i do and what could it beIm cramping but i have not had no bleeding what should i do?
It could be your new medicine. I would check with your Dr. about this.
Your period might be coming soon. That is what happens to me a day or two before. If nothing happends for a while, get it checked. If you wait to long it might be serious.
I don't mean to scare you but its probably nothing.

I'm confussed i wanna know whick one is better? (birth control pills, shot, or patch)?

I'm confussed i wanna know whick one is better? (birth control pills, shot, or patch)?
i can't tell you which one is better, it's different for every woman, and also for every couple. i'm using the pill, and it's working for me with minimal side effects, i can't say if it'll work well for you too. well, side effects can be minimized by switching brands.
see this site for more info about those methods you mentioned, and also other options. also download the "birth control comparison chart" for easy comparison. i hope it'll help you like it'd helped me choose. :)

no1can tell you which one will be right for you, all contraceptives have different side affects, all you need to do is trial and error, try them out and see what one works best for you
this depends on the woman. i liked the diaphragm because there were no added hormones in my body. talk to your doctor.
Me and my girlfriend have been using VCF Vaginal Contraceptive Film. At first it was not easy to insert it properly, but with some practice I figured it out. Now it easy, I enjoy no condoms, and it seem to have no side effects for her.
i like the patch. ive been on the patch for 4 years. i got preggo but i love patch.. i like it because you dont have to worry about taking it everyday like the pill plus if you miss a day your screwed. and the shot i dont like i hear it makes you gain weight and loose your hair. the only thing i dont like about the patch is the where you stick the patch at it makes your skin itch like crazy and it leaves like scars like little square scars. i put it on my butt so i dont have to worry about scar other parts of my body. i like tha patch its better.

    Im confussed about this?

is it bad to only have 4 periods a year??Im confussed about this?
    No.
Whatever is natural for your body is what is good.
Some people go on birth control pills to regulate their cycles, but some studies have shown that women in developed countries (with typically 28-day cycles) tend to have higher incidences of female cancers, etc than in poorer countries (where women are pregnant or nursing much of the time).
There is a birth control pill now that will allow you to have only 4 periods a year. So, that's probably OK if it was approved, right?
You should talk to your ObGyn.
